What's in the pouch?

100% organic ceremonial grade matcha powder, stone-ground from spring-harvest shade-grown tencha leaves.

Sourced from a small family-run certified organic farm in Kagoshima, Japan — one of Japan's premier tea regions, south of Kyushu, known for volcanic soil and high-altitude growing conditions that produce naturally sweet, low-bitterness matcha.

Nothing added. Nothing removed. 50g per pouch — 25 to 50 serves depending on your
preferred strength.

How do I make it?

Classic: Sift ½–1 tsp (1–2g) into your bowl. Add 30ml of water at 80°C. Whisk in a brisk
W or M motion until frothy — about 30 seconds. Top with hot water for straight
matcha or 150ml of steamed milk for a latte.

Iced: Whisk your matcha with 30ml of hot water first, then pour over ice and add cold milk. The hot water step is what stops it going clumpy.  Sweetener: Mānuka honey dissolves beautifully. Maple syrup works iced. Neither is necessary — good matcha is
sweet on its own.  Full recipe guide
included with every order.

Smooth, Creamy, Zero Bitterness

If your last matcha experience was grassy, chalky, or bitter, try us.

Daily Matcha is shade-grown ceremonial grade from Kagoshima — one of Japan's premier tea regions. The leaves are stone-ground into a fine, vibrant green powder with a naturally smooth, creamy body and a hint of natural sweetness. No bitterness. No harsh grassiness. Just clean, rich flavour that works beautifully straight, over ice, or as a latte with your favourite milk.

Tasting Notes:

  • The Nose (Aroma): Intensely sweet with bright, floral top notes.
  • The Palate: Light and sophisticated. High floral sweetness balanced by a gentle, savory body.
  • The Finish: Crisp and clean. Leaves a lingering natural sweetness without the heavy astringency of lower grades.

Master Sourcing Details:

  • Harvest: Spring Harvest
  • Texture: Ultra-fine micro-mill. Milled for for superior dissolvability.
  • Colour & Purity: Vibrant Natural Emerald. Note: You might notice our matcha is a deep, natural green rather than "neon." That is the sign of true organic farming. We do not use chemical nitrogen fertilisers to artificially force a brighter colour. This is the colour of pure, unadulterated nature.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions Worth Answering.

What's the difference between Daily Matcha and the matcha I can buy at the supermarket?

Grade, origin, and how it's processed. Supermarket matcha is typically culinary grade - ground from more mature leaves, yellower in colour, more bitter in flavour. It's fine for baking. For drinking, it's a different product. Daily Matcha is ceremonial grade - spring-harvested, shade-grown, stone-ground from the youngest leaves, JAS certified organic. The difference is immediately obvious in the colour (deep emerald vs dull green) and the flavour (naturally sweet vs bitter and grassy). If your last matcha experience was bitter, it was almost certainly the grade.

Can matcha actually replace coffee?

For most people, yes — and the switch tends to be smoother than expected. Daily Matcha has roughly the same caffeine as a cup of coffee (25–35mg per 1g serve, 50–70mg at 2g). The difference is L-theanine — a natural amino acid that changes how your body absorbs caffeine. Instead of a sharp spike and 90-minute crash, you get a smoother, more sustained release that most people describe as calm focus rather than jittery alertness. The crash that coffee drinkers think is normal isn't. It's just caffeine without
L-theanine.

Why is Daily Matcha $55 when I can find matcha for $40?

A $30-$40 matcha and a $55 ceremonial grade matcha are different products in the same way a $12 supermarket wine and a $55 bottle from a good winery are different products. They both taste like wine. They're not the same experience. At $1.10 per serve, Daily Matcha costs less than a tenth of a café latte — and it's made from organic, JAS-certified, spring-harvest tencha leaves grown on a family farm in Kagoshima, Japan. The $20 alternative is not. If you've been buying cheap matcha and wondering why it
tastes bitter or flat, the grade is why.

How does the subscription work?

Subscribe and your matcha ships automatically every month at the members price of $44 — that's 20% off the one-time price. Loyal who subscribe for longer than 3 cycles unlock a 25% discount per month. You can pause, change your frequency, or cancel any time from your account dashboard. No minimum commitment, no cancellation fees, no runaround. A 50g pouch at 1–2g per serve lasts 25–50 days — so monthly delivery keeps most daily drinkers consistently stocked. If you prefer a 8-week cadence, we have that option available too.

How should I store my matcha once it's open?

Keep it sealed, away from light, and ideally in a cool, dry spot — a pantry shelf away from the stove works well. For maximum freshness, store in the fridge after opening. Matcha oxidises once exposed to air and light — you'll notice the colour dulling and the flavour flattening if it's been open too long. Best consumed within 4–6 weeks of opening for peak flavour and colour. The resealable pouch helps. Don't leave your scoop inside.

Does Daily Matcha work as a gift?

Consistently one of the most gifted products on our store. A pouch of Daily Matcha ships in its standard packaging which is gift-presentable as-is — the design is clean enough to give without additional wrapping. If you want to add a gift note, select 'Add gift note' at checkout, or add a note for us. For the full ritual experience, pair with The Daily Matcha Set (ceramic bowl, bamboo whisk, holder and spoon) — it's how most of our gifting customers order. The combination ships as one order.
